The Castle at Peter's Forest

by Robert Peterswald

In the dark years of the 12th century a battle scarred veteran of the German Crusade to the Holy Land was made the sheriff of a small village in the mountains between Bohemia and Silesia, and founded a dynasty that was to rule there for five hundred years. ‘The Castle at Peter’s Forest’ covers the first two centuries, from 1150 to 1350, a time of turmoil as kingdoms rose and fell, the mongols stormed into Europe, baron fought with baron and Christianity triumphed over the old pagan religions.
